About
I’m an independent journalist based in Colorado. My work has been published by Vice, The Daily Beast, Slate, NPR, Literary Hub, Library Journal, Aspen Public Radio, Boulder Weekly, North Country Public Radio and many other publications.
I write about the politics of information, focusing on the tensions between those who provide access to information and those who seek to control how information spreads.
In 2017, I received a Society of Professional Journalists award for an investigation the panelists called “well researched.” My current work focuses on the politics of information in libraries and archives.
I graduated with my B.A. in English Literature from the University of New York at Fredonia in 2015, my M.A. in Media & Public Engagement at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2023, and was a Digital Ownership Fellow with NYU Law’s Engelberg Center on Innovation Law and Policy from 2022-2023.
